Facebook now expanding its way on Africa is definitely a great sign of progress in this continent. Now Africa can experience the new technology this modern society has been up to and the people there can now connect more to billions of people to the rest of the world. Thanks to the help of Internet.org, Facebook is
now working things out in the area. As of the moment, their plan is to have millions of people located in Zambia to be online. This is very generous of the company but in the future, they know that it’s going to benefit them as well so it’s a win-win situation.
Guy Rosen of Internet.org said that there are 85% people in the area who are not without internet but they do have mobile connections. And all of these reasons fall under because either they can’t afford it or they are simply not aware of it. Data files on mobiles are sure to be expensive and most of them don’t know exactly the benefits of this technology in their lives.
But that is going to be changing soon thanks to the partnership of Facebook and Internet.org. In Zambia, the app of Internet.org is going to be offered which will have Facebook on it and other web functions. The people here could now browse on Wikipedia and even job sites, weather, news and basically everything that common people have access on the web and all of these for free! So this is definitely some great news right here!
